A Random Shout Out

I’m loving this song:  Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri

The Hubs and I first heard it when we were watching So You Think You Can Dance (worst show title ever) and had to download it right away.  Because we are nerdy delicious like that.

It has a sweet back story. Christina Perri, a singer songwriter from Pennsylvania, was a waitress trying to make ends meet until her little known song was featured on the show, catapulting her to stardom, fame and fortune.  And I’m certain she leaves big tips when she eats out now. What a happy ending!

Anyway, this song is fabulous, darling.  You’ll love it too.  (Or we can never be friends again).

You know what happened?  I fell in love with this jingle even more when I saw the video.  Because my little SYTYCD alumni appear in it (love you Katherine, always will!).  So, I am posting it on my blog to give a little shout out and to share this bad ass song. Christina, call me, we should be friends.

Digging any tunes as of late??

  1. Best show ever, and I’m not afraid to admit it. Actually, I am a little afraid. Terrified, actually. But if you watch it I know you won’t hold it against me.

  2. Love the song – thanks for sharing! I have never watched SYTYCD, though, not sure if I should be proud of that or ashamed :) Miss you!

  3. I saw them on tour a few years back… I think when Benji won. My mom loves it so I got her tickets for her birthday or something. I always enjoyed it, mostly because of the music, but Mike has zero patience for that stuff.

Then again I was also a cheerleader for like hm, 20 years of my life.. please don’t tell anyone…

  4. what was that song about? do you think those are real tattoos? obviously, i missed the point. not unusual. thanks for sharing always. i miss your look on music. love mamap
