Adorable? Yes. The idea stolen off of the internet? Yes. A great gift for a baby shower or the birth of a new little munchkin? Yes.
You can copy me, I promise I won’t tell.
What you’ll need:
- white onesie, prewashed
- stencil
- black fabric marker
- black fabric paint (I used soft black)
- Friends or family members that are procreating
I traced the letters first with a black fabric marker and stencil. Be sure to put a paper towel liner inside so it doesn’t bleed through the back. I also slipped a small cutting board inside to have a hard surface to craft on. And since I have too much time on my hands (and don’t own a paint brush), I filled the letters in with fabric paint using a toothpick. Because I’m anal retentive like that.
Let it dry for a long while, then tie it up with a cute bow and hand it over. People will think you are cooler than you are. Score.

Hahaha!! So darn cute & clever! I totally want one for Kingsley!
That would be adorable!!
Steve Jobs is totally going to send you a cease and desist! Oh man, I’m praying for the future of thecandace.com.
If you are feeling really fancy, you can stencil another phrase a little higher up on the back: iPat
iPat! Brilliant!!!!
As the recipient of the infamouse “ipood” onesie, I can say they are adorable…well not the actual recipient – that would just be weird – let me start again – as the mother of a recipient of an “ipood”, we LOVE it! Thanks Aunty Candace!
*claps* I hope baby Elin put it to good use and got her poo on. Aunty Candace sends her love!
As one of your ‘procreating friends’, I also loved the super cute and creative onesie. I can not wait to get to use it….in about 8 weeks, give or take a bit. You are a super cute and creative genius!
8 weeks!!!!!! Soooooo exciting! Can’t wait to meet that little dude!
OMG “ipat” is genius!!! How adorable!!
Do you make these with tail holes?? Macky wants.
We FOR SURE need a doggie/kitty version of this!
candace – are you making one for the new arrival on dec 3rd? boy nelson? you make me smile. love mamap
sure did! I made it when I found out the good news & sent it to them this summer.
as another recipient of one of these I too am a fan. I have to admit that Keaden’s has been outlined with a nice yellowish brown stain to go along with the theme! it provides a nice outline around the ‘iPood’ phrase….how nice…so glad that he could add that touch to such a sweet onesie!
I’m thrilled to hear Keaden put it to good use!
did i ever say “thank you” for the one you sent me?! probably not because i forget everything!! so a big THANK YOU to your crafty self! it is an awesome onesie
I’m not sure, but then again, I *also* forget everything so don’t worry! You are so welcome and I can’t *wait* to meet Baby #2 – weeee!
