Boom shakalaka

I sent Hubs to Home Depot on an errand and he came back with the command hooks I had requested and a light in his eyes.

“A new frozen yogurt place just opened up.  We should go.  We should go right now, pretty please.”

I’m not one to squash dreams, people.

We went.  It’s an adorable little place, within walking distance of our apartment, called Boom.  They tout locally sourced and organic yogurts and toppings, which totally had me a loca.

It was yummerific and sorta guilt free since it’s just frozen yogurt after all.

I liked it.  A lot.

All in all, it was a nice way to round out a Saturday afternoon.  Although, I must confess, I am a wee bit concerned that anyone in a sound state of mind would open a frozen yogurt shop in the fall.  Along with organic caramel, I think I smell bankruptcy?

Speaking of fall, I noticed the leaves are just starting to change,

and it’s getting to be about time for scarves.  You *know* how I love me some scarves…

  1. OMG that frozen-yo looked AMAZING!! I really wish I was having that instead of toast and coffee (it’s breakfast time). Wow, I might be drooling. Yum! When I come visit, please take me to Boom :-)

  2. I’ve been wearing scarves since I came back from San Francisco, even when it was 80 degrees. :)

We’ll have to go to Boom together soon. Once I”m not working 12 hour days….

Miss you LOTS! And you’re only 20 minutes away and work is too busy. Will see you soon.

    XOXO

    • Your pics of you girls all bundled up in scarves and hats in Crested Butte got me in the fall spirit! We’ll get together for some treats as soon as you can breathe easier – hopefully this stressful period ends soon for you!! I’m sending lots of positive engineering vibes your way!

  3. And now that there are two ice cream or frozen yogurt places within walking distance, winter is the only thing that will save me from the constant temptation!

  4. I love me some frozen yogurt, but please let’s hold off on the fun pictures of you gallivanting through snow in the mountains with scarves and mittens? Pretty please? Someone told me the other day when there is a lot of rainfall during the summer, that means there will be lots of snow for the coming winter, and if that’s true, boy are we in trouble…I looked it up, more than 120 inches of snow for us in SD this winter…yikes!

    • I hear you, Kate! Let’s just enjoy fall for a little longer – it’s going to be in the 80s in CO this week and weekend! Woohoo!

  5. I have to test out both shops. Booooommmmm! I will give reviews next week. Yogurt is a superior food group. I have to change my eating habits, lose 50#, learn to tap dance, heal an ulcer, etc etc etc. I will need help in doing all of these things. Thank goodness for thecandace and sil. lv mamap
