Friday Tidbits

Everyone, thank you for your wonderful words of support on my last post. It means a lot to me. I was scared. Instead, I felt only warmth and encouragement. I thank you for that. *group hug*!

I hope you had a very cherished holiday yesterday. I caught up with a friend in the morning and spent the rest of the day relaxing with Hubs and Amelie. Thankfully the fireworks didn’t wake her – I would not have been amused! I’m such a¬†curmudgeon.

In other exciting news (maybe), I started painting the guest room! It’s Winter’s Day by Martha Stewart. I have to say, I really like it. Everything takes 10x longer planning around nap time (and I was never a fast worker to begin with). Here’s hoping I can finish painting this tiny room before guests come at the end of July?

Happy Friday!

  1. Thank goodness you started now so it might be finished by the end of July ::)). I still think that when Baby Girl sleeps, so should you. Have a super weekend. Lv mamap

    • I was just bragging to Hubs how I haven’t “needed” to nap while Amelie does but then Sunday night rolled around and I was a wreck and wanted to be in bed well before she did…

  2. It’s so pretty!!! My projects ALWAYS take longer than I think they would…and probably longer than they really should (because my OCD always rears it’s ugly-time-sucking-little-head). Oh well. Here’s to speed-painting during baby naps & having your project complete by the end of July!!

PS – I can’t wait to see pics of the finished room – yea!

    • I think we are OCD buddies. :) I wish we could DIY together…but then again, maybe we wouldn’t anything done except drink coffee and catch up? I did finish painting the main color this weekend (surprisingly) and now I need to do touch ups and trim. But, the room looks a bazillion times better already. Pictures to come!

  3. I’m loving this color, despite my early reservations. It looks so great, I can’t wait for the blog writeup!

    • A Winter’s Day for the WIN! With my history of paint picking shenanigans, it’s no wonder you get nervous when I meander over to the paint aisle…
