Dear overseas international graduate students and scholarship students:

 

According to the announcement of the national scholarship management department, the notice on returning to SJTU for overseas international graduates with scholarships is as follows:

 

I. Returning to SJTU for overseas international graduate students with scholarships

 

1. All students with scholarships (including online students, students who retained their admission qualifications, and students who have suspended their studies due to the pandemic) should return to school no later than the Fall semester of 2023; otherwise, they will no longer be eligible for their scholarships.

 

2. According to the Administrative Measures of Chinese Government Scholarship, from the Spring semester of 2023, the scholarship qualification of suspended students will be retained for a maximum of one year.

 

3. The administrative regulations of other types of students shall be implemented in accordance with the administrative regulations of relevant departments of SJTU.

 

II. Regulations on the distribution of scholarships for students outside mainland China

 

1. Scholarship students enrolled before September 2019 who have completed online registration, participated in relevant teaching arrangements as required, and can pass the regular academic assessment and inspection will get/ receive their scholarship after returning to school and finishing the registration procedure or upon graduation according to relevant provisions.

 

2. For students enrolled in September 2020 and after, the scholarship will be valid after registration at SJTU in China, and the scholarship will be awarded after the scholarship status takes effect.

 

3. The Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission may adjust the scholarship policies at any time according to the relevant pademic policies at the national level. Shanghai Jiao Tong University will implement the government’s latest policies and guidelines.
